A collaboration with sculptor, Miguel Lopez Lemus, this video ofrenda installation was first presented at the Latino Arts, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI as an ofrenda for their Day of the Dead celebration in 2005 and was shown at the Irish American Heritage Center in conjunction with Windy City Arts, Chicago, IL in 2006-2007 as part of their Samhain/Day of the Dead exhibition: Intersection
This is a sculptural wall installation with double monitor video footage from Day of the Dead celebrations in Oaxaca, Michoacan and Queretero, Mexico from 1994-2004. Skull by Miguel Lopez Lemus. Originally premiered at the Latino Arts Cultural Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin it and again showing in the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago:Samhein/Day of the Dead exhibition, 2006-2007. A second sculptural version was created and premiered in Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico in October, 2023. It is available for presentation in either Mexico or US.
