Sincere, straightforward, well crafted portraits of people, places and events are the trademark of Kapra's work. Her vision and her sensitivity for the subject gives her art the master touch.

She has taught film at the School of the Art Institute and video in various after- and in-school programs through the Chicago Children's Museum, Gallery 37 and the Center for New Television.  She received an SAIC Fellowship award upon graduation in 1984 and has received numerous city grants for work with at-risk youth in inner city areas.

She is currently working on an oral history project of the Pulaski Park neighborhood and a DVD of interviews with Chicago artist/poet, Carlos Cortez.
